In a recent article for Fortune, Chris Morris sat down with Alex Andrawes, co-founder of Personal Wine, the country’s largest private label wine service. Andrawes identified several recent wine trends, pointing out the growing popularity of wine amongst millennials and listing 5 underrated wine countries throughout the world.

South Africa, home of Protea Wines, was praised for its affordable and flavorful reds and Chenin Blanc:

“There are a lot of affordable reds coming out of this region, but they’re extremely tasty as well. Andrawes suggests looking for wines made from the white Chenin Blanc (locally known as Steen) and the red Pinotage (a genetic crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsault).”
