In a recent column for Wine Spectator, contributing editor Matt Kramer made his case for Chenin Blanc. Calling the varietal “overlooked, often untasted, and certainly uncelebrated,” he argues that it’s time to pay attention to the grape, citing many delicious examples from around the world.

Of South African Chenin Blanc, Kramer states,

“It may take South Africa, which no one previously could have imagined upstaging the likes of France, to remind us all of what we’ve been missing.”
